Population aging in the Asia–Oceania region

摘要: Recently the term ‘global aging’, which refers to universal trend of aging world population, is being widely used. First all, I will shed some light on this population from viewpoint regional populations and their future projections. Second, discuss about determinants in Asia Oceania region. So far as region concerned, it be divided into three groups countries according level aging. The first group most advanced aged such Japan, Australia, New Zealand whose percentage elderly 65 over more than 10% year 2000. second Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, China between 5 10%. third remaining less 5%. demographic aspects each are analyzed relationships fertility reduction also discussed perspectives transition. Third, consequences with special reference Asian developing countries. In section, mention problems dependency burden, so-called bonus, health expectancy, social security systems. Fourth, prominent characteristics concerning living conditions norms or attitudes indicated, raise points like family systems, arrangements, participation, Ikigai (the worth life) peculiar Fifth finally, touch topics issues policies society. At present status improving hope that myth disappear near future.
