摘要: This article studies the mediatization of criminal and deviant subcultures by analyzing media-related practices graffiti writers skaters in Ghent, Belgium. The ethnographic analysis shows how these orient themselves toward media become an essential part change their everyday practices. Three consequences this are highlighted: First, emphasizing artistic performative skills through mediation practices, start losing rebellious oppositional image. Second, as such, it can be observed that they increasingly mainstream culture. Third, our demonstrates subcultural groups goes hand with commercialization commodification, engage recording disseminating work not only for reasons but also a means acquiring sponsorship deals job opportunities.
