Characteristics and incidence of contact dermatitis among hairdressers in north-eastern Italy.

摘要: BACKGROUND Hairdressers are at high risk of contact dermatitis (CD) due to skin exposure numerous irritants and haptens in hair products combination with frequent wet work. OBJECTIVES To investigate the characteristics incidence CD among hairdressers north-eastern Italy. METHODS A total 324 who had been examined patch tested Italy from 1996 2016 were retrospectively identified, compared 9669 matched controls. Sensitization allergens hairdressing series was analysed attending an occupational medicine clinic Trieste, Incidence data calculated 1999 2016. RESULTS p-phenylenediamine, thiuram mix, N-isopropyl-N'-phenyl-p-phenylenediamine significantly associated hand/forearms dermatitis. Frequent sensitizers ammonium persulfate, toluene-2,5-diamine, p-aminobenzene. The overall declined 2003 (31.7 cases/10 000 workers) (20.8 workers). CONCLUSIONS several hairdressing. has recent years, but is still high. Preventive efforts needed reduce burden this professional group.
