The Sediments of Barataria Bay

摘要: ABSTRACT Ninety-eight bottom samples were collected from Barataria Bay, on the margin of Mississippi delta, in accordance with a predetermined grid pattern. Mechanical analyses performed, and several statistical constants computed. Maps prepared showing areal distribution terms their average size, "degree sorting"; this was related to currents within bay. In all, five main types sedimentary curves found, which displayed regular variation character deeper shallower parts
