摘要: Given the increased usage of mentoring programs in multi-cultural settings, including Chinese workplace, present study examined employees’ understanding relationships and whether played a role their occupational stress process. Using open-ended questions, Phase 1 investigated from 39 academic experts relevant fields 22 practitioners with management experiences. survey approach, 2 within stressor–strain framework among sample employees China, qualitatively (N = 207) quantitatively (N = 1,281). Results this indicate that understood way similar to Western employees. Although mentored reported level psychological strains those not mentored, they demonstrated stronger positive relations between stressors (supervisory relationship concerns, career advancement work-family conflict) (depression emotional exhaustion) than unmentored counterparts. These findings supported transferability concept process cultures Confucian culture. More importantly, was shown be complex intriguing. This research only advances our outside cultures, but also identifies need for future investigation employee organizational management.
