摘要: A young man, who was admitted to hospital acutely ill following the ingestion of half a mouthful carbon tetrachloride, investigated for degree and duration hepatic renal damage, using various tests function. On basis serum bilirubin enzyme activities, acute damage had subsided after 15 days from time accident, but albumin total proteins returned normal only considerably longer interval (between 33 129 days). There no evidence residual this time. Acute reached maximum about week recovery function in respect kidneys9 power reabsorb sodium chloride secrete potassium acid recovered almost completely three weeks. However, kidneys water, ie, produce concentrated urine, approached 139 days. Residual not evident as indicated by clearance values creatinine inorganic phosphate. The significance results is discussed.
