摘要: Background The Keito machine offers automatic measurements of blood pressure (BP), height and weight on insertion coins has been introduced in pharmacies. Design Cross-sectional study comparing BP by the to office physicians. Methods Patients scheduled for pre-catheterisation screening participated study. Their was first measured using machine, then Office recorded as last three consecutive with one-min intervals after a five-min rest sitting position. In sub-study simultaneously during measurement physician. Results 390 patients average significantly lower compared made physicians (136/75 ′ 19/8 mmHg versus 141/79 21/10 mmHg, both p<0.001). correlation coefficient (r) 0.56 (p<0.001) systolic (SBP) 0.53 diastolic (DBP). Bland-Altman analysis showed mean difference (′ 2 SD) SBP DBP -5 (′37) -4 17) respectively. When defining hypertension (HT) ≥ 140 and/or 90 method diagnosed 83% 62% hypertensive population correctly. classification normotensive correct 61% 86%, Conclusion Agreement between is poor. underestimates 5 4 which may be significance diagnosing HT starting anti-hypertensive therapy. However, can much larger individual patients. Therefore, cannot recommended medical or replacement follow-up
