摘要: Background: Despite considerable research on violence and unintentional injuries among Jordanian students that focused primarily those aged 13 - 15 years, very little attention has been paid to such regarding 19 year-old students. Objectives: The purpose of this study was estimate the prevalence injuries, school compare patterns these behaviors between male female students. Materials Methods: This descriptive-analytic cross-sectional comprised 750 secondary carried out randomly selected eight comprehensive schools (four for females four males) from public educational directorate located in Amman. A modified Arabic version general health survey questionnaire used measure violence-related injuries. Results: findings showed 26.8% had physically attacked. Overall, 43.3% were involved a physical fight 20.1% bullied. 45.3% sustained serious whom 31.2% engaged playing or training sports, 35.6% injured fall, 60.3% hurt themselves by accident, with broken bone dislocated joint presenting most injuries. There difference attack, fight, injuries. Conclusions: It is necessary implement an effective program including social environments promote safety prevent violence.
