New Magnetic Phase Transitions in the Tetragonal Compounds PrBa2Cu3O6+x at Low Temperature

摘要: The anomalous magnetic properties of Pr ions in the PrBa2Cu3O6+x sys- tem are investigated at low temperature. Measurements specific heat CP(T ) and susceptibility χ(T performed on ceramic samples tetragonal structure with x = 0.44 0. Two new transitions observed below Neel temperature antiferromagnetic ordering T N ∼ 9-10 K. first one is low-critical Tcr 4-5 K second Pr-Cu 2 6-7 K, respectively. Assuming thatC P(T can be used to represent contribution ), data well fitted for T< cr by us- ing development ofC )/T �A(T −3/2 + �γ M(T 1 m(T .T he values electronic coefficient found much lower than all previous results obtained compounds orthorhombic structure, this is, good agreement insulating character our non-superconducting samples. high M, permits us confirm existence strong Pr-Pr ex- change interactions. Some non-linear effects attributed m revealed discussed terms coupling a spin reorientation phase transition both sublattices around . appearance weak ferromagnetic tendency analysis Tcr, could associated reordering subsystem.
