摘要: This paper focuses on a very specific aspect of construction in HindiUrdu involving the verb ho ‘be’. The was previously described as displaying pattern differential case marking (DCM) literature, expressing semantic effects. These effects were compared to contrast known stage-/individual-level contrast. will show, however, that this view does not take into account various syntactic and facts about construction, argues for more differentiated view: what has been regarded single be only by marking, should rather treated two separate constructions with differences nominal argument structure, semantics.
