摘要: Plant-based foods play a critical role in covering daily requirements of human beings for energy and minerals, especially the developing world. Most nutritional compounds existing cereal grains are major protective agents against different chronic diseases. One particular compound with high effect diseases such as cancer cardiovascular is selenium (Se). It widely believed that some forms (Se) among most effective anti-carcinogenic compounds. Studies conducted countries revealed wheat one best Se source beings. Wheat is, therefore, an important targeted stable food enrichment (biofortification) Se. Selenium also to act roles plants abiotic stress factors. However, various controversial results available literature regarding plants. In present study, several experiments have been i) understand better under factors, ii) improve status by treating seeds (soaking Se-containing solution), iii) screen modern wild genotypes their accumulation capacity shoot seed. experiment seed treatment Se, obtained were promising improving concentration. derived from treated soaking solution (up 5 mM), concentration increased 44 μg kg-1 (non-treated seeds) 216 (Se-treated seeds). .
