摘要: Although public perception believes that severe mental illness (SMI) and violence are tightly associated, the research evidence to support such a relationship is mixed, most people with SMI never violent. relative contribution of psychiatric morbidity violent behaviour remains controversial area research, recent data have shown there consistent, albeit modest, positive association between violence. pharmacological treatment necessary, it insufficient on its own in preventing forthcoming aggression episodes. wide number non-pharmacological interventions been adopted for offenders, their effectiveness weak not conclusive.
