摘要: The aphids Aphis coreopidis (Thomas), Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris), soiani (Kaltenbach), and Myzus persicae (Sulzer) produce droplets at the tips of their cornicles when attacked by several species insect predators. Alarm pheromones volatilizing from these cornicle repel nearby feeding sites. release can also be elicited various physical stimuli. Depending upon type stimulus aphid involved, 50 to 90% 62 76% emit biologically active levels pheromone. Aphids respond alarm a distance 1–3 cm freshly secreted repellent activity is retained up 60 minutes after secretion. are perceived primary secondary sensoria located on antennae.
