摘要: OBJECTIVE: Leisure-time physical activity participation is influenced by various socio-demographic factors. Recent evidence suggests that being part of a minority negatively impacts an individual’s health status. The objective this study was to compare inactive leisure-time between the Francophone and Anglophone majority in Canada. METHODS: Data from fusion cycles 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 2008 2009 Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) were used. linguistic variable determined languages spoken at home, first language learned still understood, interview, preference. based on questionnaire provided during interview. Factors associated with leisure time examined using logistic regression models. RESULTS: Francophones more likely than Anglophones be physically their (49.1% vs. 47.2%). A greater percentage had poor self-perceived health, older, single, lower education, higher rate unemployment lived rural areas compared Anglophones. When these factors taken into account, there no further differences likelihood CONCLUSION: Canada characterized have negative impact participation.
