摘要: A majority of the transitional urology patient population have neurogenic bladder and many these patients undergone creation continent catheterizable channels (CCCs) to facilitate emptying. Transitional urologists will be faced with revision due a variety possible complications. We performed comprehensive literature review data regarding incidence, timing, predisposing factors that lead complications CCCs as well surgical techniques their outcomes. Long-term channel related revisions are common (25-30%) likely underestimated. While predictors for been posited, only predictor has significant in robust multivariable analysis is type, appendicovesicostomies having lower chance requiring compared Monti channels. Channels created adults high likelihood revision, even within relatively short follow-up period. management As congenital urologic conditions gaining longer lifespans, and/or replacement some may require supravesical diversion future, show feasible good Longer-term needed understand life-span best practices new among population.
