摘要: Colombian Lagothrix are phenotypically very complex and a clear diagnosis of the two taxa (that classically have been recognized for country) does not exist. The characteristics used to define one taxon often found in other taxon. Only lugens Central Cordillera Andes is clearly defined different from all populations despite holotypic description. Eastern Cordillera, although generally darker than those greater part Amazonia (called lagothricha), many that can be also lagothricha, such as coronal stripe agouti back forearms, while some lagothricha dark brown gray like majority Cordillera. Since described distinct each other, it seems more correct see them subspecies species L. which intergrade with another. Two recently east whether these newly include former Andes. Populations called seem made up mosaic phenotypes no clines. Genetic information supports view polytypic, broadly distributed species, various distinctive populations, further analysis might force us abandon Colombia altogether.
