摘要: Abstract This paper deals with the fracture toughness and R-curve behavior of ceramic–metal functionally graded materials (FGMs). A possibility stable crack growth in a three-point-bending specimen is examined based on driving force resistance for FGMs, distribution or evaluated FGMs fabricated by powder metallurgy using partially stabilized zirconia (PSZ) stainless steel (SUS 304). The have surface layer (FGM layer) thickness 1 mm 2 mm SUS 304 substrate. Three-point-bending tests are carried out rectangular very short ceramics surface. On test, initiated from pre-crack unstable manner, then it propagates manner through FGM an increase applied load. From relationship between load length during layer, evaluated. increases volume fraction phase.
