摘要: Developmental events in the germination of oospores Pythium aphanidermatum were studied with electron microscope. Culturally grown oospores, fed to aquatic snails (Planorbis sp.), germinated maximally within a 12-hour period. Mature, dormant, ingested maintained distilled water and various stages liquid nutrient broth on corn meal agar examined. A single central globule, 6 11 pm diameter, numerous storage bodies, 0.4 1.7 comprised endogenous re serves dormant oospore. During germination, globule broke up into several smaller bodies underwent shrinkage as it was absorbed adjacent vacuoles.
