摘要: Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the exposure premature infants lead from blood transfusions. Study design: Blood concentrations were determined for 19 very at time admission, 4 weeks life, and before after transfusions in donor packed red cells 79 Results: number per patient 4.2 ± 2.8 (mean SD) with 15.7 1.9 mL/kg a dose 1.56 1.77 μg/dL. total these over 4-week period 4.0 μg/kg (range, 0.9-10.6 μg/kg). Increases post-transfusion concentration linear doses higher than 1.5 Packed ≥5 μg/dL resulted an elevated some infants. Conclusions: through transfusion exceeds acceptable daily intake values may result unacceptably high concentrations. Use <3.3 is one cost-effective means reduce exposure. (J Pediatr 2000;137:549-54)
