摘要: The INTERNIST system, which is a computer-based diagnostic problem solver having Internal Medicine as i ts domain of discourse, employs novel attention focusing heuristic in order to deal sequentially with the component parts complex clinical problem. strategy sequential formation and solution has proved be effective sorting out complexities rendering correct diagnosis great majority cases tested. Experience system suggests, however, that many aspects search process could significantly enhanced if it were possible attend various problems their interrelationships simultaneously. Recent work on successor been directed towards development strategies for synthesis analysis composite hypotheses, may expected yield more rapid convergence conclusion cases, at least some prevent missed diagnoses.
