摘要: Abstract Two design elements for donor-acceptor organic dyes used in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are presented. 4-(Cyanomethyl)benzoic acid was as an acceptor group and compared to the commonly cyanoacrylic a pair of otherwise structurally equivalent sensitizers. The 4-(cyanomethyl)benzoic based showed significantly improved photovoltaic performance when tested DSSCs. Furthermore, it shown that replacement bridging para -phenyl with thiophene triarylamino-oligothiophene-based sensitizers resulted significant spectral red-shift device DSSCs were constructed using sensitizer embodying both features show increase electron lifetime fabricated conventional sensitizer. most promising novel incorporating displayed power conversion efficiency 6.37%, short circuit photocurrent density 11.63 mA cm −2 , open-circuit voltage 0.754 V fill factor 0.73.
