摘要: The history of modern child psychopathology and developmental disabilities is fairly recent origins. However, the two topics, intellectual disability (ID) area which has received most attention as a science profession for longest period time. In December 1896 in an address to American Psychological Association, Lightner Witmer outlined what he descried scheme practical work psychology. plan had four components: 1) investigation mental moral development; 2) psychological clinic supplemented by training school/hospital treat retardation or physical defects interfering with school progress; 3) observation normal retarded children; 4) students new profession, expert, who would examine mentally morally children, connection practice medicine (Witmer, 1907). discusses pedagogical treatment stammering other speech defects, bad spelling, slow development, motor defects. As such, these early efforts were primarily geared toward remediation we now call learning disabilities.
