摘要: There is continued growth and development of outreach programs designed to increase pre-college students’ awareness understanding engineering as a profession career. These vary in format the groups targeted for participation, but maintain same fundamental goal increasing participant knowledge engineering. Many these also implicit participants’ attitudes toward college. The additional resources funding that are commonly allocated support frequently involve documenting accountability which motivates evaluation program impact. Therefore, many events include assess impact on perceptions they have not included assessment college attitudes. In this study we examined two residential their Our results indicate number personal variables were predictors attitude, failed expose any indicators Analysis pre-post survey scores revealed significant change (p < .01), no attitude =.07). We exposed differential by event. Results, implications, limitations, directions future research discussed.
