摘要: Flow mapping and physical volcanology of 15 basaltic lavas exposed in three critical road pass sections (ghats) the Koyna-Warna region western Deccan Traps is presented this paper. Transitional like rubbly pahoehoe are most common morpho-type these ghat sections. Sinking breccia into flow interiors formation breccia-cored rosette some lava flows. Few exhibit slabby tendencies. The amount nature associated rubble variable result from mechanical fracturing auto-brecciation upper vesicular crust response to distinctive stages cooling, crystallization emplacement history individual Occurrence aa morpho-types sequence subordinate. Three prominent flows separated by red bole horizons seen parts Kumbharli ghat. These thick, P-type sheet pahoehoe. represent compound fields that grew budding, endogenous transfer inflation. Presence hints at possible hitherto unrecorded southern extension Bushe-like fields. This study reconfirms existence pahoehoe-slabby-rubbly-aa transitions even echelons Trap stratigraphy. morphology internal structure could guide subsurface core-logging deciphering dynamics penetrated drill holes sunk under scientific deep drilling programme.
