Thermodynamic performance of a low temperature multi-effect distillation experimental unit with horizontal-tube falling film evaporation

摘要: A five-effect distillation experimental unit was designed and fabricated the thermodynamic performance measured evaluated. The mechanical design process operation parameters of a low temperature multi-effect were optimized. This nit featured horizontal-tube falling film evaporation. Its achieved maintained, its heat loss effectively reduced. variation pressure in each evaporator effect tested ana lyzed. results indicated that calculated vacuum evaporating coincided. Water production rate gained output ratio (GOR) decreased slightly with an increase flow feed seawater. With heating steam water linearly increased GOR increased. found to be fairly close observation, which justified expectation analytical model developed for distiller reliable, overall system correctly done.
