摘要: Weight loss in the form of cachexia is a comorbid condition which associated with delayed recovery, especially cancer and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)‐infected patients. Arginine (Arg), Glutamine (Gln), Leucine metabolite, Hydroxy methyl butyrate (HMB) are substrates have been investigated due to their potential role ameliorating muscle mass. We conducted systematic review appraise available studies assessing effect Arg, Gln, HMB supplementation on improving body weight mass those pathological conditions. A comprehensive search for published between January 1990 November 2017 was performed. The interested primary outcome this weight. Two reviewers independently searched databases 125 papers were identified from initial search, overall, we selected five that suitable our review. results shows combination can improve fat free mass, immune function morbid PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: Cachexia one main problems many chronic diseases. Providing nutritional support usually concern patients severe impaired appetite gastrointestinal tract irritation. Among nutrition interventions, Protein amino acid receive much attention tissue negative balance protein nitrogen loss. (Arg/Gln/HMB) gain prevent
