摘要: A neural field model of the brain is used to represent states using physiologically based parameters rather than arbitrary, discrete sleep stages. Each state represented as a point in parametrized space. Over time, changes cause these points trace continuous trajectories, unlike artificial jumps stage that occur with traditional staging. The Rechtschaffen and Kales stages are associated regions physiological parameter space on their electroencephalographic features, which enables interpretation terms trajectories.
