摘要: The aims of this pilot study were to assess and characterize non-current smoking young adults’ exposure tobacco marketing through an ecological momentary assessment protocol. Ecological (EMA) consists repeated measurement phenomena is well-suited capture sporadic experiences in the real-world, such as marketing. EMA has potential detailed information about real-world exposures ways that reduce recall bias increase validity. In study, adults (n = 31; ages 18–25) responded random prompts regarding their via text messages on smartphones for 14 days (n = 1798 observations). Unadjusted adjusted analyses conducted using multilevel logistic regression odds accounting correlation multiple measures within individuals while controlling variability between individuals. Respondents reported, average, two advertising 14-day period. analyses, African–American (aOR 3.36; 95% CI 1.07, 10.54) Hispanic respondents 5.08; 1.28, 20.13) more likely report advertising. also when exposed others products they at stores compared with home 14.82; 3.61, 60.88). Non-smoking particularly point-of-sale, highest likelihood among African-American people. protocols can be effective assessing impact point-of-sale adults.
