摘要: Shade is one of the factors, which affect characteristics and performance solar energy systems. It can be classified either as soft or hard shade. Literature search review were carried out, coupled with MATLAB simulation experimentation to compare effects shade on photovoltaic (PV) modules output power. Simulation results showed that global maximum power points 34.772%, 32.92%, 26.905% lower than expected power, respectively for monocrystalline, polycrystalline amorphous PV modules. Conversely, experimental 98.2%, 97.72% 82.2% lost respectively, modules, when all had no each module's half-area, was physically shaded by a cardboard. Conclusively, less sensitivity both shading cases, recommended use in situations where cannot completely avoided.
