摘要: Abstract Trends in reference evapotranspiration (ETo) have been found highly diverse different regions of the globe due to contradictory changes meteorological variables that define ETo. Despite a significant impact ETo water resources and ecology, knowledge on cause is very limited tropical regions. The trends ETo, factors influencing change point (year) made trend were evaluated this study for peninsular Malaysia. modified version Mann-Kendall (MK) test was used assessment unidirectional driving variables. innovative analysis (ITA) conducted understand variations with time. Sobol's method measure sensitivity Sequential MK employed identify point. revealed an increase annual (0.009–0.026 mm/year) seasonal (0.014–0.027 mm/year during southwest monsoon 0.015–0.074 northeast monsoon) Malaysia which contradicts paradox many minimum temperature (31.5–48.2%) as most factor followed by wind speed (15.1–32.8%.) defining Analysis ITA sequential results rise major A faster after 1981–1985 caused 1993–1996 locations. region noticed much compared global average indicates large continuous warming thus, reduction atmospheric balance
