摘要: Midkine, also known as neurite growth-promoting factor 2 (NEGF2), plays an important role in cell proliferation, apoptosis and differentiation. Recent studies have shown that Midkine is up-regulated several types of human cancers. However, the molecular mechanism for its up-regulation remains poorly understood. Activation Wnt/β-catenin signaling viewed crucial multiple tumor growth metastasis, including glioma. In present study, we found Wnt3a administration or transfection a constitutively activated β-catenin promoted expression glioma cells. We further identified TCF/LEF binding site, with which beta-catenin interacts, on proximal promoter region gene, by luciferase reporter chromatin immunoprecipitation assays. Thus, our results suggest previously unknown Wnt/β-catenin/Midkine network controlling development.
