摘要: Pulmonary disease changes the physiology of lungs, which manifests as in respiratory mechanics. Therefore, measurement mechanics allows a clinician to monitor closely course pulmonary disease. Here we review principles and their clinical applications. These include compliance, elastance, resistance, impedance, flow, work breathing. We discuss these normal conditions states. As severity increases, mechanical ventilation can become necessary. use pressure–volume curves assisting with poorly compliant lungs while on ventilation. In addition, physiologic parameters that assist ventilator weaning process abates.
