摘要: Abstract The findings of new specimens Latibasaliidae and Frengueliidae in Northwest Patagonia Argentina are noteworthy for the knowledge these little know families explanation their systematic position. confirm phylogenetic position families. morphology discoidal cell both fore hind wings Frenguelia corresponds to most basal epiproctophoran damsel-dragonflies, implying a Triassic age particular lineage this family. absence any fossil record between Eocene could be related highly specialized biology animals, maybe mountain rainforests as Epiophlebia, unique surviving damsel-dragonfly. Lastly, middle Italian dragonfly family Bolcathemidae Gentilini 2002 is considered junior synonym Paleocene Argentinean Palaeomacromiidae Petrulevicius et al. 1999 supporting faunistic contact Europe South America during late Cretaceous.
