摘要: The He–Be2+ interaction energy for internuclear separations from 0.16 to 0.79 A has been determined single‐configuration MO‐SCF calculations and compared that deduced by Giffen Berry scattering data. ratio of the calculated experimental energies varies 1.45 at 1.03 A. large discrepancy between theory experiment small is similar found a Thomas‐Fermi‐Dirac calculation energy. represented within 10% Born‐Mayer potential V(R)= 944 exp(−6.23 R) eV with R in angstroms.
