摘要: At the present time low energy electron diffraction, LEED, is probably most important experimental technique for investigation of surface structures. LEED primarily a research tool in fundamental studies since it requires ultra-high vacuum conditions and single-crystal samples. However, if these requirements are met, has potential determining positions all atoms topmost layers crystal. A complete structure analysis so far been carried out relatively few surfaces, but determination just two-dimensional periodicity provides very useful information about phenomena such as reconstruction, phase transitions, adsorption reactions.
