摘要: Abstract A neutron time-of-flight spectrometer using thermal neutrons produced by the Harwell electron linear accelerator (linac) has been developed to study amorphous materials. The uses fixed-angle detectors and is operated in wavelength range 0.3-3.0 A. major feature of design a backward-angle bank which gives high detection efficiency for values scattering vector Q extending greater than 30 −1 . technique compared with conventional reactor methods preliminary results are presented liquid nitrogen, vitreous germania nickel powder.
