摘要: A redox flow battery composed of a plurality cells in electrical series defined by stacked and repetitive arrangement conductive intercell separator having generally bipolar function, positive electrode, an ion exchange membrane, negative electrode another separator, is operated flowing half-cell electrolyte containing reducible oxidizable ions first couple through the compartments electrodes second cascade counter or equi-current mode. The difference cell voltage between last stack sensibly reduced by-pass currents are substantially eliminated thus resulting increased overall faradic efficiency. architecture provided with ducting for implementing two current cascaded flows electrolytes described. alternated used cationic anionic membranes compensate unbalanced water transport membranes.
