Knee ankle sprains mild to moderate severity were the most common diagnoses. No pinna occurred probably because ear protectors worn. Nine- 14-year-old boys injured least frequently (3.8%), partly their matches shortest. The overall injury rate for school wrestlers was 12.0%. Risk did not vary with weight class or successive matches. Thirty-nine percent all aggravation old injuries. Thus, rehabilitation after is believed be important preventive measure. These findings suggest that, although in are severe, attendance at by medically trained personnel warranted. ( JAMA 1982;248:2016-2019)
