摘要: Purpose:It has been identified that eosinophilic bronchitis (EB) in adults can progress to asthma or fixed airway obstruction. In the present study, we evaluated clinical course and prognosis of EB children their relationship with accompanying rhinosinusitis. Methods:A total 55 followed up for over than a year after diagnosis were enrolled study. We classified subjects into two groups according presence rhinosinusitis, respectively, compared them respect clini- cal characteristics, eosinophil percentage induced sputum, fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) pulmonary function test. The poor prognostic group was defined as asthma-like symptoms, persistent recurrent chronic cough long-term follow-up. Results:The achieved 12 (22%), 3 (5%) amongst diagnosed asthma. There no significant differences percentages FeNO, spirometry IOS Additionally, rhinosinusitis did not show any poorer outcome those without Conclusion:There some limitations this study which between evaluated. However, case either short-term response inhaled corticosteroids elevated inflammation airways abnormal reversibility impulse oscillometry, needs be consi- dered, regardless (Pediatr Allergy Respir Dis(Korea) 2012;22: 273-281)
