摘要: Many surgeons treat progressive femoral osteolysis in association with a well-fixed stem bone grafting but uncontained proximal defects the graft could get into joint, raising question regarding whether can be treated by simple debridement without grafting. We investigated curetted around an unrevised component progressed size and this lesion would have deleterious effect on fixation of patients isolated acetabular revision. prospectively followed 21 (24 hips) who underwent revision curetting osteolysis. The minimum followup was 3 years (mean, 4.3 years; range, 3–7.4 years). By latest followup, no hips had major progression osteolytic defect through period none any new lesions. All were judged stable to cups stems. Provided is ingrown osseointegration sufficient provide long-term stability, aspect femur, uncontained, curettage may preserve implant stability prevent another Gruen zone for at least 3 7 years. Level Evidence: Level IV, therapeutic study. See Guidelines Authors complete description levels evidence.
