摘要: Abstract The aim of this study is to optimize the pozzolanicity Algerian clay deposits that are essentially composed by calcite, dolomite, and illite/muscovite. heat treatment cycles were applied these raw materials varying target temperature holding time. evaluation dehydroxylation degrees determined different techniques such as thermal gravimetric (TG) analysis, differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analysis Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Results show optimal was obtained, if calcined at 700 °C for 5 h. Moreover, adding 10% heat-treated deposit 85% clinker 5% gypsum weight leads manufacturing blended cements with highest mechanical characteristics. Mortars elaborated studied their compressive strengths after exposure high up 1000 °C investigated through test age 90 days. It appears enhances normalized mortars early comparison those CEM I. However, opposite effects observed ages 28 days except treated 700 °C-5 h. This related presence new cementitious compounds (NCC) highlighted TG analysis. behavior temperatures not affected significantly when used. optimum cement Concretes manufactured exhibit quite similar than control one.
