摘要: Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino (GpM) has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for the treatment of various diseases including cancer. Most previous studies have focused primarily on polar fractions GpM anticancer activities. In this study, a nonpolar fraction EA1.3A from showed potent growth inhibitory activities against four cancer cell lines with IC50 ranging 31.62 μg/mL to 38.02 μg/mL. Furthermore, also inhibited breast MDA-MB-453 time-dependently, as well its colony formation ability. induced apoptosis cells both dose-dependently and time-dependently analyzed by flow cytometry verified western blotting analysis marker cleaved nuclear poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (cPARP). Additionally, cycle arrest G0/G1 phase. Chemical components GC-MS revealed that contains 10 compounds alkaloids, three organic esters, two terpenes, one catechol substance, all these not reported GpM. summary, through induction regulation progression. Our study shed light new chemical bases feasibilities develop agents medicinal plant.
