摘要: Abstract Influences of oceanic fronts in the Kuroshio and Oyashio Extension (KOE) region on overlying atmosphere are investigated by comparing a pair atmospheric regional model hindcast experiments for 2003/04 cold season, one with observed finescale frontal structures sea surface temperature (SST) prescribed at lower boundary other an artificially smoothed SST distribution. The comparison reveals locally enhanced meridional gradient turbulent fluxes heat moisture air (SAT) across zone, which favors storm-track development both winter spring.
