摘要: Abstract The electrokinetic properties of two monodisperse colloidal systems have been studied by means electrophoretic mobility and electrical conductivity measurements. In addition, exact numerical techniques were used to solve the equations for conservation mass, momentum, charge around a hard, impermeable, nonconducting sphere with uniform surface density (the standard model). From these solutions, ζ potentials calculated using measured particle mobilities suspension conductivities. are substantially different. This raises doubts about completeness theory points up fact that single parameter (i.e., potential) cannot fully characterize transport some particles.
