摘要: [1] The validation of version 2.2 (v2.2) H2O measurements from the Earth Observing System (EOS) Microwave Limb Sounder (Aura MLS) on Aura satellite are presented. Results comparisons made with Aqua Atmospheric Infrared (AIRS), Vaisala radiosondes, frost point hygrometer, and WB57 aircraft hygrometers Comparisons MLS v1.5 H2O, Goddard global modeling assimilation office analyses (GEOS-5) also discussed. For mixing ratios less than 500 ppmv, v2.2 has an accuracy better 25% between 316 147 hPa. The precision is 65% at hPa that reduces to This performance expected measurement systematic error analyses. overestimates for greater ppmv which consistent a scaling in either calibrated or calculated radiances. 121 83 be 15% cannot confirmed this time because large disagreements among used AVE campaigns. 10–20%. vertical resolution 1.5–3.5 km depending height. horizontal 210 × 7 km2 along perpendicular orbit track, respectively.
