摘要: Abstract This paper describes the activation of cellular genes after infection chick embryo fibroblasts (CEF) with temperature-sensitive (ts) mutants herpes simplex virus type 1. One mutant, tsK, has a mutation in gene sequences which encode immediate-early (IE) polypeptide Vmw175. After CEF tsK at nonpermissive temperature (38.5°), IE polypeptides are overproduced but early and late viral products cannot be detected. In addition, synthesis three is stimulated manner closely resembles “stress” or “heat-shock” response. Peptide mapping confirmed that tsK-induced stress proteins. No induction was observed when expression prevented, leading to conclusion one more responsible for Two other mutants, tsD tsT, have mutations different regions Vmw175 coding sequences, also induce proteins 38.5°.
