摘要: Abstract The genome of Bacillus subtilis bacteriophage B103 consists double-stranded linear DNA 18 630 bp long. was sequenced, and the sequence compared with sequences closely related phages, namely members phage ϕ 29 family. Among them, Nf shown to be most B103. Comparisons several open reading frames (ORFs) among familly helped identify genes 1 5. A cluster ORFs between 16 17 contains two partial homology located in same region. There are three more this region good ribosome binding sites (RBS) optimal codon usage that not homologous any ORFs. function these five remains unexplained. It major promoters characterized retained Where many substitutions occur vicinity a promoter, at least −10 −35 boxes conserved.
