摘要: New metal complexes derived from the reaction of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) chlorides with 2-imino-2H-chromene-3-carboximide organic ligand (HL) have been synthesized. The resulting characterized by elemental analysis (CHN), IR, magnetic susceptibility, mass spectra, 1HNMR, UV–Vis, ESR, thermal (TG, DTG DTA) molar conductance measurements. All are 1:2 1:3 electrolytes according to their conductivities. microanalyses spectroscopic data showed that metal(II)/(III) ions in these achieved coordination number six hence octahedral geometrical structures. This is attained bonding bidentate via its two amino nitrogen atoms imine atoms, monodentate aquo groups oxygen atoms. results acts as neutral coordinating NH nitrogens without displacement hydrogen. antimicrobial activities chromene tested against a pathogenic bacteria fungi assess inhibiting potential. Antimicrobial studies indicate exhibit better activity than ligand.
