摘要: BNP/NT-proBNP measurement has not gained widespread use for the management of patients with heart failure (HF) despite several randomized controlled trials. A systematic review addressing question whether HF benefit from BNP-assisted therapy or intensified compared usual care was undertaken. Relevant trial (RCTs) were selected by searching Medline, Embase, AMED, Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials, Database Systematic Reviews, and CINAHL English-language articles published 1980 to 2012. Selected studies required be treated chronic medical based on care. There no restrictions except that had done an FDA approved method. Nine RCTs identified 2,104 study duration ranged 3 18 months. Overall, there a wide variation in design how parameters reported including patient selection, baseline characteristics, goals, cutpoint, and outcome types. Meta-analysis appropriate given this heterogeneity. The strength evidence outcome mortality, seven studies, found low due inconsistency imprecision. This showed is quality insufficient support guide therapy. Further trials improved are needed.
