摘要: Abstract The oocyte derived growth differentiation factor (GDF) 9 and bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15; also known as GDF9b) are essential for normal follicular growth. However, little is about expression of these factors during ovarian development. Therefore, we determined the ontogeny GDF9 BMP15 mRNA in developing ovary brushtail possum. Ovaries were collected from pouch young ( n =3–5 per group) around times key developmental events namely: (1) morphological sexual (i.e. days 1–5 following birth), (2) after 10–15), (3) before initiation germ-cell meiosis 22–45), (4) shortly 78–85), (5) preantral 96–113) (6) antral 155–190). three juvenile four adult animals gene was by situ hybridization. mRNAs encoding first observed oocytes newly-formed primordial follicles 78–85). Expression both restricted to present irrespective whether they non-growing or undergoing Thus, since not until formation, it unlikely that proteins have any role early germ cell Nevertheless, findings stage formation suggest a possible maintenance well These results highlight important species differences between possums other such human, sheep rat.
